ReelData AI is a startup that brings AI disruption to the aquaculture industry. The core of our technology is backed by deep learning and machine learning algorithms that allow fish farms to reduce the intrusiveness and resources needed to understand various metrics around their fish. Our computer vision technology aims to help the industry operate at maximum profitability and sustainability.

Our ideal candidate will be a well-rounded individual with at least 4 years of experience in computer vision, machine learning systems and programming. Designing machine learning systems will require the Senior Machine Learning Engineer to assess, analyze, and organize data, execute tests, and optimize the learning process to help develop high-performance models.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design and conduct experiments and tests
• Evaluate techniques and make technical recommendations
• Convert prototypes into production-ready systems
• Identify differences in data distribution that could affect model performance in real-world situations
• Data visualization
• Understand business use-cases
• Ensure that training data is organized and is of high quality
• Stay up to date with developments in the fields of machine learning and statistics
• Have an understanding of hardware requirements to ensure feasible latency for data processing pipelines
• Coach, mentor and lead new and existing team members
• Own entire elements of a project from the design phase to production readiness

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (computer science, physics, engineering or mathematics) as well as a minimum of 4 years of experience working as a machine learning engineer or data scientist
• Proficiency with Python and basic libraries for machine learning such as PyTorch, NumPy, OpenCV
• Proficiency in building automated MLOps workflows
• Excellent skills with regards to data organization, communications and technical documentation
• Curiosity and an eagerness to learn and improve oneself.
