Parties across the entire solar lifecycle use Raptor Maps’ data model to manage ever growing utility-scale solar portfolios. Our software platform is essential in the fight against climate change.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Drone Professional, specializing in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of Docked Drone and Robotics systems at solar sites across the United States. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless drone operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing inspections to maintain the efficiency and safety of Docked Drone Systems on solar sites. This position is suited for a certified FAA Part 107 Pilot with strong electrical systems knowledge, an entrepreneurial spirit, and highly experienced in drone operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain Docked Drone and Robotics systems on solar sites to ensure optimal functionality, with a keen eye for safety.
- Perform drone inspections on solar sites to enable handoff to the Raptor Maps Remote Operations Center (ROC)
- Troubleshoot technical issues with Docked Drone and Robotics systems and Command and Control software to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborate with Raptor Maps team to support drone-related operations and data collection.
- Provide Beyond Visual Line of Site (BVLOS) training to site staff to ensure safe operations of Docked Drone and Robotics systems.
- Maintain accurate records of drone operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all drone operations adhere to FAA regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current FAA Part 107 Pilot
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Comfortable using a multimeter, and hardwiring equipment in junction boxes
- Candidate has a registered LLC
- CPR/First Aid certified
- 2 or more years operating Drones
- Familiarity with Docked Drone and Robotics systems as well as command and control software
- Must be primarily located in the contiguous US
- Must be authorized to work in the US
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Docked Drone and Robotics systems as well as command and control software
- 20 or more Raptor Maps inspections completed at Utility scale solar sites
- ITC Level 1 Thermography Certification
